Video: Philadelphia Eagles on the clock

This "On the Clock" series is all over the NFC East today. This time, Trent Dilfer, Mel Kiper Jr. and Chris Mortensen take a look at the Philadelphia Eagles. And while most of these segments focus on what the teams should or will do in the draft, this one is focused on the arrival of new Eagles coach Chip Kelly and the way they expect him to change the culture around the team. They talk about changes Kelly plans to make in how the team practices, how much time the players spend in meetings, how they lift weights ... lots of stuff.

At the end, Mel briefly discusses the possibilities for the Eagles with the No. 4 overall pick and mentions offensive line and cornerback. Mort, who calls the Kelly hire the most exciting since he's been covering the league, doesn't rule out the possibility that Kelly drafts quarterback Geno Smith at No. 4. But they keep coming back to the whole idea of Kelly and the newness of him, and that of course is the story for the Eagles right now. Kelly is a wild card, and we have no idea how he'll do as an NFL coach. The Eagles have obviously placed a big bet on him, and he appears to have the intelligence and talent to succeed. Whether he will or not remains to be seen, and will determine the direction of the Eagles' franchise for the next several years.
