David Moore of The Dallas Morning News on how he thinks the Cowboys will approach the draft: "Owner Jerry Jones and head coach Jason Garrett have said they believe they have covered themselves enough at key spots where they can enter this draft and focus strictly on the best available athlete over need. That may be true, but so is this: if the Cowboys have a guard, a quarterback and an inside linebacker all rated on the same plateau when they are on the clock at No. 18, their need for an offensive lineman will break the tie and persuade them to select the guard with that pick."

Coach Chip Kelly continues to speak highly of quarterback Michael Vick. “Mike can still play," Kelly said in an interview with NFL Network. "When you evaluate a quarterback, you have to evaluate everything. The losing of three or four offensive linemen for the season, he took a lot of hits. You as a quarterback when you drop back hope that that guy is going to be blocked, and when we miss a block and he ends up getting hit, it’s not the quarterback’s fault. When you sit down and analyze what his skill set is and what he can still do, he can still throw the football, still accurate with his throws, he’s extremely tough. There was no question in my mind that I wanted Michael to be back on this team.”
