Jordan Reed's symptoms continue

ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed did not practice Thursday, which could lead to him missing a fourth straight game with a concussion.

On Thursday afternoon, coach Mike Shanahan said they have not talked about shutting down Reed for the season, but this clearly isn't a good sign for him. A Fox Sports report Thursday night said that Reed was shut down for the season, but a team source denied the story. Shanahan said only that they're continuing to test Reed daily.

Shanahan said Reed has continued to see different doctors because of headaches.

“It’ll be an ongoing process," Shanahan said. "I think that’s why they have this process, to make sure somebody doesn’t come back too early, no matter what type of headache they do have. But if they don’t pass the test, there’s reason for concern.”
