Greetings from Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH -- When I made the walk across one of the three rivers a couple of hours ago, it was a balmy 25 degrees. But with the sun shining, it certainly wasn't a bitter 25. When the sun goes down (about 20 minutes after kickoff), I'm sure it will be a different story.

I'm sort of distracted by this Giants-Eagles game right now (17-7 Eagles), but it's probably worth mentioning that Heinz Field is in pristine shape 40 minutes before kickoff. The field hosted four high school state title games last Saturday and then officials re-sodded it the following day.

We'll see how things hold up. I did notice that Cowboys kicker Nick Folk slipped when he attempted a 45-yard field goal about 10 minutes ago. Quarterback Tony Romo is warming up at the 50-yard line as we speak -- and he's not wearing a splint for the first time since breaking his pinkie against the Cardinals in October.

No surprises on the inactives list for the Cowboys. We already knew that Marion Barber didn't make the trip. Linebacker DeMarcus Ware (knee) has been practicing since Wednesday and he's active for today's game.
