What has been previously discussed in this space is now coming to life.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Detroit Lions have acquired guard Rob Sims in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. According to Schefter, the Seahawks will get a fifth-round draft pick in return.

Sims will be the favorite to start at left guard for the Lions.

Seattle also sent a 2010 seventh-round choice to Detroit for defensive end Robert Henderson, Schefter reports.
