Bears miss obvious fake punt

CHICAGO -- I just saw the most obvious fake punt of all time.

Faced with a fourth-and-two at Chicago's 37-yard line, Green Bay sent out its punt team. But one of the players who jogged onto the field was backup quarterback Matt Flynn, who obviously is not a regular member of that group.

Wearing No. 10, Flynn lined up as an upback and stood still for several seconds. If the Bears noticed, it wasn't obvious. So Flynn took a direct snap, rolled to his right and calmly slid after a six-yard gain.

It was a good call in the right spot. But when you see a quarterback jogging onto the field with the punt team, your radar should go up immediately.
