I haven't forgotten to update Brett Favre's meeting with NFL vice president for security Milt Ahlerich. Quite simply, almost no information has leaked on the visit, which ESPN's Ed Werder confirmed has indeed taken place. It's believed to have occurred at the Minnesota Vikings' team headquarters.
The NFL is investigating whether Favre sent inappropriate photographs and text messages to a former New York Jets sideline reporter, a potential violation of the league's personal conduct policy.
So here's where we stand: ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported that the sideline reporter, Jenn Sterger, hasn't cooperated with the investigation. So unless Favre incriminated himself during Tuesday's meeting, the league would be left to seek out a third party to find evidence of a violation. Absent of that, Mortensen reported, the investigation could conclude as early as this week.
The league hasn't confirmed Tuesday's meeting, let alone commented on it. If any reliable information comes our way, we'll be sure to pass it along.
*Update: Favre's wife, Deanna, is scheduled to appear Thursday morning on ABC's Good Morning America to promote a new book. I wonder if this topic will be off limits.
