For those of you have pounded me for not providing minute-by-minute updates on the status of Green Bay Packers defensive backs Atari Bigby and Al Harris, here you go: Coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Harris won't play Sunday against the New York Jets but that Bigby hasn't been ruled out.
Both players are two weeks into a three-week practice window before the team must either activate them or end their seasons. Harris is working back from a serious knee injury, while Bigby had minor ankle surgery in August.
Of all the issues facing the Packers, I actually don't think the status of either player is in their top five. I would be much more concerned about the condition of their defensive line and linebacker corps as they prepare for the run-heavy New York Jets. More to come a bit later in our full Friday injury report.
Now back to Favre-ageddon.
