Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is in North Texas this week to do some promotional work as Super Bowl XLV approaches. He appeared Tuesday on ESPN Radio's "The Scott Van Pelt Show" and had this to say about the Lions' short-term prospects:
"I think our team is very, very close. One of the reasons I say that is, look at one of the teams that's in this Super Bowl right now, a team that we beat [the Green Bay Packers]. I don't take moral victories by any means, but I think we have a group of guys that can play at any point in time. It's just a matter of us playing together like we did at the end of the year, learning how to finish. That's something I think we'll carry on into the 2011 season for us ... and I think that we're going to be a tiger that is definitely going to have to be reckoned with in the NFC North."
Feel free to listen to the entire appearance.
