'Madden 12': Epicenter of Gamenity?*

If the NFC Championship Game put us at the Epicenter of Humanity, where would an All-NFC North finals of the "Madden NFL 12" tournament leave us?

You have a week to figure that one out. (I'm going with "Epicenter of Gamenity" for now.) The semifinals have begun for SportsNation's contest to determine the cover of this year's Madden game. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is in one bracket and Minnesota Vikings tailback Adrian Peterson is in the other.

In order to reach the finals, Rodgers would have to receive more votes than Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis. (Come on now.) Peterson has a tougher task, facing Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. (Resisting urge to make a politically incorrect remark.)

You can participate in the outcome by voting anytime between now and April 18. We're two weeks away from having a winner. If you have a tag suggestion for a potential intra-division showdown, I'll be reading your comments below.

*UPDATE: Hark! Sources deep within SportsNation have informed me that during the first two hours of voting, Hills received 58 percent of the vote to Rodgers' 42. That might have something to do with the fact that the Browns have made Hillis' involvement the centerpiece of their team web site. But as we say in the video-game-cover-voting-contest business: It's a marathon, not a sprint. Of course, maybe Rodgers' supporters are more cognizant to the Madden Curse than the Hills gang.
