MIN's first five series: Peterson and dust

HOUSTON -- We're about midway through the second quarter here at Reliant Stadium. Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre has been sharper in this game than he was in his Aug. 21 debut, but here are the raw numbers.

On the Vikings' first play, tailback Adrian Peterson ran 75 yards for a touchdown.

On their next 18 plays, spanning four series, the Vikings managed 64 yards.

Ryan Longwell's 36-yard field goal was set up by a Ben Leber interception. From what I've seen to this point, I'd classify the Vikings' offense as potent but out of sync. But maybe my expectations are too high.
