Packers on the ropes in Carolina

If I'm the Green Bay Packers right now, I'm feeling pretty, pretty, pretty fortunate to be trailing the Carolina Panthers by fewer than two touchdowns.

It's 13-0 early in the second quarter, and Panthers quarterback Cam Newton already has 151 passing yards. The Packers' defense has tightened twice in the red zone, holding the Panthers to field goals on two of their three trips inside the 20-yard line.

The Packers' offense had run only three plays by the time the Panthers had their third score thanks to Randall Cobb's fumbled kickoff. It's still a scary situation for the Packers, but as amazing as it sounds, they're fortunate to be within two scores at this point.
