If you thought the Giants were going to continue driving against your defense, why not take a shot at an onside kick? Either you steal a possession or the Giants get the ball where they probably were going to drive anyway. Just a thought.
In the end, no harm was done. Packers linebacker Brad Jones blocked the field goal attempt the Giants tried at the end of that possession.
