Memorial Day programming note

Hello there and good Memorial Day to each of you. I'm going to take a leap and suggest you find something to do today other than reading about football. If you're bored, I'll refer you back to last year's post on the origins of Memorial Day. This is a time, as Illinois' Gen. John A. Logan instructed us in 1868, to "renew our pledges to aid and assist those whom they have left among us a sacred charge upon a nation's gratitude, the soldier's and sailor's widow and orphan." Barring breaking news, I'll be back with you Tuesday.
