NFC North links: Shea McClellin adjusting

Chicago Bears

First-round draft pick Shea McClellin is adjusting to life in the NFL. "You just sit back unless you are talked to [by the veterans]," McClellin said over breakfast at a downtown hotel restaurant. "Maybe if I have a question or two, I'll ask them, but other than that, just laying low."

Larry Mayer of ChicagoBears.com: "Through no fault of his own, Jason Campbell has become an expert at digesting new offenses. The veteran quarterback played in four different systems in four years at Auburn and then three more in five seasons with the Redskins before joining the Raiders in 2010."

Detroit Lions

Lions receiver Titus Young has started work on repairing his image. "I'll say right now, this is basically like the honeymoon, getting back on the right track," Young said. "I am very excited about being on the football field. I hope this excitement leads my whole team to being excited."

Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan likes what he sees so far from rookie offensive lineman Riley Reiff. "It's still early to say who's going to play where," Linehan said. "But Riley's on track to play a lot of football for us really early. He's an exceptional talent, and he's a great kid. He's going to really help us on our offensive line. Where he ends up this year really hasn't been determined yet. But we're just happy with what we've seen so far. We think he's going to be a heck of a player."

Green Bay Packers

Cornerback Tramon Williams says last season was "a fluke year" for the Packers' defense. Williams: "I don’t know how we can go from a top defense to that bad. It’s unacceptable. I don’t have a theory for it, but I just think it was a fluke year."
