Peterson will get the ball All Day

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota's game plan for Indianapolis appears as simple as this: Adrian Peterson left, Adrian Peterson middle, Adrian Peterson right and Adrian Peterson through the air.

Peterson touched the ball on nine of the Vikings' first 11 plays against the Colts, including three receptions. The only other Vikings offensive player with a touch was backup tailback Chester Taylor.

Peterson set a Vikings record by accumulating 72 rushing yards in the first quarter.

But he had only seven yards on his three receptions, and quarterback Tarvaris Jackson hasn't been able to connect with any other receivers. One incompletion, however, was not his fault as unreliable tight end Visanthe Shiancoe dropped a third-down pass in the end zone for what should have been a touchdown.

Just another reason for the Vikings to ride the Peterson Express as long as they can.
