BBAO: Greg Jennings surgery delayed

We're Black and Blue All Over:

Hurricane Sandy has caused death, unprecedented destruction and untold hardship moving forward. Fortunately, those of us who live in NFC North territory have been spared its wrath to this point. I hesitate to put the following news into anything resembling a significant impact of the storm, but I'll pass it along nonetheless.

Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings was scheduled for surgery Tuesday in Philadelphia to repair an abdominal tear, but as Jason Wilde of ESPNMilwaukee.com points out, that procedure has been delayed because of travel disruptions. It's not yet clear if or when Jennings will be able to get to Philadelphia, or if he will need to seek the procedure elsewhere.

ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported Jennings faces about a three-week recovery from surgery before he is ready to return to the field.
