Vikings: Two defenders, no Manti Te'o

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings have selected two defensive players in the first round of the 2013 draft.

Neither is Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o.

The Vikings passed over the much-discussed Te'o to draft Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd at No. 23 and Florida State cornerback Xavier Rhodes at No. 25. General manager Rick Spielman is about to start a news conference, so I'm guessing that means the Vikings don't plan to trade back into the first round.

I'll be back with you after the news conference.
