There’s a good chance the team will give Tillman intravenous fluids at intermission with the hope the corner can be sufficiently rehydrated for a return to action in the second half.
Tillman vomited on the sideline at least twice before the staff pulled the cornerback out of the lineup in favor of veteran Zack Bowman. Tillman’s exit came at an inopportune time for the Bears, with the Bengals in the midst of an eight-play drive spanning 91 yards and capped by a 45-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton to A.J. Green that helped the visitors go ahead 14-7 with 2:53 left in the first half. Rookie Isaiah Frey also played in Tillman’s place during the drive.
Up to that point, Tillman had intercepted Dalton twice.
Stay tuned for an official update from the team.
