Calvin Johnson reaches another milestone

LANDOVER, Md. -- For all Calvin Johnson has done in his NFL career, Sunday presented a fairly large milestone day for the Detroit Lions receiver.

Johnson passed both the 500-catch and 8,000-yard marks in the first half against Washington, becoming the third receiver in NFL history to reach both those plateaus in fewer than 100 games.

The only other players to do so are Randy Moss and Torry Holt.

Through the first half, Johnson now has 502 catches and 8,063 yards in his career. He could have had more as well. The Lions have been trying to get Johnson even more involved in the offense, targeting him a team-high nine times in the first half.

Detroit leads Washington 17-14.
