Injury report: Matthews looks good to go

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews appeared to get through the week of practice without any setbacks from his Week 3 hamstring injury and was listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

Given Matthews’ history of hamstring injuries, his availability for Sunday’s game was in question after he dropped out of the Sept. 22 loss at Cincinnati. But Matthews vowed after the game that he would use the bye week to get healed and would play against the Lions.

“It was a fortuitous bye week, I'll say that,” Matthews said Thursday.

Officially, Matthews was listed as a full participant in Friday's practice.

“Everything looks good with Clay Matthews,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said after practice. “I fully expect him to play. I have no reason not to believe he’s not ready.”

The Packers also expect safety Morgan Burnett to make his season debut after missing the first three games because of a preseason hamstring injury.
