Waiting on Allen ... behind Dan Reeves

MINNEAPOLIS -- Walked into the Metrodome behind former NFL coach Dan Reeves, who is broadcasting Sunday's game for Westwood One radio.

It was 10 years ago next January that Reeves led the Atlanta Falcons to an improbable upset here in the 1999 NFC championship game, ending the run of a Minnesota team that finished the regular season 15-1. Reeves performed his version of the Dirty Bird on the field that day, but I haven't seen him cutting a rug yet Sunday.

We'll be back with you shortly with an update on Minnesota defensive end Jared Allen. NFL.com is reporting that Allen will try to play despite a third-degree sprained shoulder, and we'll let you know as soon as there is official word on Allen's status.
