Turner shut out in second half

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Perhaps the most amazing stat of Saturday's game is this: Atlanta's Michael Turner didn't gain a yard after halftime.

It may be tempting to put the blame for this loss on rookie quarterback Matt Ryan. But you have to keep in mind he was without a running game, especially in the second half when the Falcons only gained six yards on the ground.

Turner didn't exactly light it up in the first half, when he carried 15 times for 42 yards (a 2.8-yard average), but he did produce a touchdown and four first downs. In the second half, he carried three times, but was held to zero yards.
