TAMPA, Fla. -- Baseball is the game that’s supposed to be all about superstition. Put baseball together with football and we might be seeing superstition taken to the next level.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to practice in St. Petersburg’s Tropicana Field last Thursday before their season-opening victory against Cleveland. Guess what? The Bucs are going back to "The Trop," home of Major League Baseball’s Rays, this Thursday.
When asked if this was going to be part of a new weekly routine, coach Raheem Morris admitted superstition might have something to do with it.
"I don’t know," Morris said with a laugh. "I’ve got some [Rays manager] Joe Maddon dust on me. I’m going to take it and run with it."
