John Abraham bouncing back

ATLANTA – After a disappointing season last year, the Atlanta Falcons said they were confident veteran defensive end John Abraham would bounce back.

He has, after recording only 5.5 sacks in 2009. Abraham had two sacks in Thursday’s victory against Baltimore, giving him eight for the season.

What’s more impressive is that Abraham is doing it all on his own. All of his sacks have come on plays where the Falcons have rushed four or fewer players. Abraham and Osi Umenyiora are tied for the league lead in sacks in those situations, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
