McAllister sees Rams as perfect fit

Where's former New Orleans running back Deuce McAllister going to end up? Well, he did a fine job of publicly lobbying the St. Louis Rams to sign him.

In an interview with ESPN Radio in St. Louis, McAllister said he views the Rams as a perfect fit. McAllister, who spent much of last season standing on the sideline after two major knee injuries, said he still believes he can play. However, he did admit he'd be best suited as a part-time player who can help lighten the load of a featured back.

In other news on all-time NFC South greats who now are unemployed, there's still nothing new on former Tampa Bay linebacker Derrick Brooks. If somebody's going to step up and sign Brooks, it might be wise to get him in soon and give him some time to learn a new system.
