I’m watching Auburn University’s pro day over on ESPN3.com and all I can tell for sure about Cam Newton so far is the quarterback looks pretty good walking around with his backpack and talking to people.
Newton has chosen to rest on his workout laurels from the combine as his college teammates are going through various speed, strength and agility drills. By the way, even the early stuff is worth watching. I’ve been to multiple pro days in the past and it can be a little difficult to keep an eye on every prospect at the same time and the crowds can cut off viewing lines. But this format works because it brings the action to you.
According to the schedule, the rest of the Auburn players have some more drills to go through before the show really starts. We don’t have an exact time yet because much depends on how quickly these drills progress, but Newton is scheduled to throw near the end of the event.
I’ll be watching and I can promise Carolina coach Ron Rivera and general manager Marty Hurney will be too. Once again, here’s the link to watch Auburn’s pro day live.
