Former voice of Panthers, Falcons joins ESPN

Some great news for those of you who were fans of Bill Rosinski when he was the radio play-by-play voice for the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.

Rosinski has joined ESPN Radio. He's going to be a play-by-play man for college football and basketball broadcasts.

Rosinski worked for the Panthers from 1995 through 2004 and hosted a popular talk-radio show in Charlotte after his departure from the team. He also was the main voice on Falcons' broadcasts from 1992 through 1994. He's done all sorts of other radio work, including covering boxing, through the years.

"Bill is a true pro with a glowing resume of great football and basketball play-by-play," said ESPN Radio Executive Producer John Martin. "The opportunity to team him with Dennis and Bob will enhance our football and basketball broadcasts for all of our listeners."

In my book, Rosinski is one of the best play-by-play announcers in the business. Come to think of it, the one book I have written was with Rosinski.
