Falcons to wear throwback uniforms twice

We've known this was coming for some time, but the Falcons just officially announced they'll be wearing their throwback uniforms twice this season.

They'll wear them for the Week 2 home game with Carolina and in Week 11 when they host Tampa Bay. The Falcons will be wearing their uniforms from their inaugural season in 1966.

That uniform features a black jersey with white numbers, red trim and a white Falcon crest on the sleeve. The uniform also features white pants with a red stripe bordered by two black stripes. The Falcons will wear red helmets trimmed in white and gold.
