The Atlanta Falcons just announced a little bit of news. They have promoted DeJaun Polk to coordinator of pro scouting.
It’s a new position in the team’s hierarchy and a step up for Polk, who has worked in college and pro scouting for the past six seasons. Polk joined the Falcons as a pro personnel assistant in 2006. In 2008, he became a college scout, covering the Midwest region. He moved back to the pro scouting department in 2009.
“DeJuan has a done a fantastic job for us during his time here,” general manager Thomas Dimitroff said. “He has a tremendous work ethic and an acute eye for talent. He is a value to our organization and I am proud to promote him to coordinator of pro personnel. We believe he has a bright future and we are happy to have him part of our personnel team.”
