When it comes to making things happen after the catch, no team in the NFL does it better than the New Orleans Saints.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Saints lead the league with 1,183 yards after the catch. The only other team even over 1,000 yards is the Green Bay Packers with 1,079.
The Saints are getting yards after the catch from a variety of players, but the three biggest contributors in this area have been running back Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas, and tight end Jimmy Graham. Sproles ranks No. 3 in the league with 330 yards after the catch on 45 receptions.
Thomas has 251 yards after the catch on 20 receptions and Graham (45 receptions) has 242 yards after the catch. Receiver Devery Henderson has 125 yards after the catch on 15 receptions. Receiver Marques Colston has 99 yards after the catch on 26 receptions.
For comparison, let’s take a look at what the other NFC South teams have produced after the catch. The Panthers have 853 yards. The Bucs are at 824 yards and the Falcons have 771 yards.
