NEW ORLEANS -- I was just looking at the Superdome Wall of Fame and something's missing. Someone, actually.
That's linebacker Sam Mills.
He did as much for New Orleans -- on and off the field -- as any player in franchise history. There's a statue of Mills outside Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, where Mills played the last three years of his career. He should have a spot on the Superdome Wall of Fame.
That was supposed to happen at the start of the 2005 season, but Hurricane Katrina disrupted those plans. But three years have passed and Mills still isn't on the wall. It's time to make that happen.
