NEW ORLEANS -- Some good news on Saints cornerback Tracy Porter, who was injured early in the game with Tampa Bay.
PorterThe Saints just announced that Porter checked out fine on neurological tests, but he has been taken to a local hospital for observation. Porter gave a thumbs-up sign with his right hand as he was carted off the field on a stabilizing board. The team said the injury is to Porter’s neck.
Porter was injured when he collided with Tampa Bay receiver Mike Williams on the second play of the game. Williams also was shake up on the play, but walked off on his own and has returned to the game.
