Around the NFC South with the columnists

Time for a journey through the NFC South with the columnists.

  • The Falcons looked great Sunday and, by all appearances, are set up nicely for the long haul. But Mark Bradley provides a reminder why it’s difficult to take the Falcons too seriously just yet.

  • John Fox and Jake Delhomme get run over by "The Bus," as in Jerome Bettis.

  • Tom Sorensen weighs in on the Delhomme situation.

  • Jeff Duncan writes that Drew Brees is the one quarterback everyone in the NFL should be talking about. He’s exactly right. I’ll say it again: Brees is the best quarterback in the league right now.

  • John Romano makes the valid point that Tampa Bay’s lack of a pass rush Sunday is at least as much of a problem as the mistakes in the secondary.
