At long last, there appears to be a bit of good news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Quarterback Josh Freeman was working with the first team during the portion of Friday morning’s practice that was opened to the media. We’ll get a status report on Freeman when official injury reports come out later Friday afternoon.
But the fact that Freeman was working with the first team makes it seem likely he’ll be ready to play Sunday at Jacksonville. Freeman missed last week’s loss to Carolina with a shoulder injury. He threw some on Thursday, but was limited in practice.
The Bucs are on a six-game losing streak, but the return of Freeman could give Tampa Bay a shot to get a win against Jacksonville and rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
