Around the NFC South

I've been traveling much of the afternoon, so let's catch up on the top headlines from around the division.

New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper was fined a total of $22,500 for two separate personal fouls in last week’s win against the Tennessee Titans. Some of the Titans accused Harper of being a dirty player. Harper pushes the envelope at times, but I don’t think it’s fair to call him dirty. He’s an aggressive player who plays a position where you have to be able to hit. If you do it well, there are times you might cross some lines.

Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams said he’ll braid his hair Sunday after being dragged down by his hair the last two weeks.

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson had some very unflattering comments about Jacksonville’s wide receivers after Thursday night’s game. His language was a little rough, but, after seeing Jacksonville’s receivers in person, Robinson might have a point.

With Tampa Bay Buccaneers Raheem Morris obviously on the hot seat, Martin Fennelly wonders if general manager Mark Dominik will get to stick around and hire the next coach.
