All 32 teams on Tuesday were involved as the NFL and United Way combined on "Hometown Huddle" events across the country.
Kudos to all who participated, but we’re going to single out the Atlanta Falcons because they were the only team to have their full roster. All 53 players took part as the Falcons showed up for surprise visits to elementary schools and a retirement home in the Atlanta area. They also stopped at some public venues, including a supermarket.
That’s where defensive end John Abraham showed he can do more than sack. He helped bake a cake.
Another highlight included tight end Tony Gonzalez, a former college basketball player, giving some basketball tips to students at an elementary school.
