More kudos for Tampa Bay's draft class

Tampa Bay's draft class continues to sparkle.

The NFL announced Thursday that running back Doug Martin was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for October.

Martin and fellow first-round pick Mark Barron and second-rounder Lavonte David have been starters since the season opener and each has performed well.

Martin, in particular, had a great October. He led all NFL players by averaging 155.7 yards from scrimmage per game in the month. In three October games, Martin rushed for 296 yards with two touchdowns and caught eight passes for 171 yards and a touchdown as the Bucs went 2-1 in those games.

In a Week 8 victory against Minnesota, Martin became the first rookie in the last 25 seasons to rush for at least 135 yards and have more than 75 receiving yards.
