The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken over the league lead in a very unflattering category.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Bucs have allowed 2,022 yards after the catch. The Bucs trailed only the Saints heading into Sunday’s game at New Orleans. But the Bucs moved past the Saints in that game.
The Saints have allowed 2,010 yards and are now second to the Bucs.
The Falcons and Panthers have fared much better in this area. The Falcons have allowed 1,417 yards after the catch and only 10 teams have allowed fewer yards after the catch.
The Panthers have allowed 1,265 yards after the catch. Only three teams have allowed less yards after the catch.
