Even with the Falcons off, it's still going to be a busy weekend in the NFC South. I'm on my way to Charlotte to cover Sunday's game between the Panthers and Saints.
Should be interesting to see what more Drew Brees can do if he has Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey back on the field. It's also going to be interesting to see how the Panthers respond to last week's disaster in Tampa Bay.
Speaking of the Bucs, they'll be hosting the Seahawks on Sunday night. The highlight of that game might be the halftime ceremony where the Bucs honor retired fullback Mike Alstott. I was lucky enough to cover Alstott at the start of his career and watch him help turn around a franchise that had been dismal for a long time.
Unfortunately, I won't get to see the Alstott ceremony. Just like the Saints, I'll be getting on a plane and crossing the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday night. The Saints play the Chargers in London next week and they're going to spend the week practicing in the United Kingdom to get used to the time change.
I'll be reporting live from London all next week and we'll have lots on the Saints and the rest of the NFC South.
