Reviewing the film of the NFC South chat

Posted by ESPN.com's Pat Yasinskas

For those who missed it, here's the transcript from Friday's NFC South chat. Congratulations, you set a division record by posting over 320 questions.

I answered as many as I could and apologize that there wasn't time to get to them all. Also, apologies for technical difficulties on some of the answers to the first few questions. So I'll answer those here.

Pat Yasinskas: If Pat and Kevin Williams aren't playing for the Vikings, that opens the way for a big day by Michael Turner. As far as stopping the Saints, the Falcons need a strong day from their secondary and their pass rush.

John in Woodstock, GA wrote Is Michael Turner the best free-agent signee this year? The "Burner" is a Beast!

Pat Yasinskas: I can't think of a better free agent. In fact, I think you have to include Turner in MVP conversations.

Nick in Tampa,Fl: Whens the last time MNF had a game this big and meaningful this late in the season? Last one I can think of was bucs-rams in 2000 which turned into one of the best ever. This game is going to be great!

Pat Yasinskas: It's the best MNF game in recent memory. I'm looking forward to going up to Charlotte and covering it.

James in Atlanta, GA wrote: Pat, quick give me your All NFC South awards...MVP? Coach of the Year? Rookie of the Year? DEF player of the Year? Special Teams player of the year? Thanks, great blog writing.

Pat Yasinskas: MVP -- Michael Turner, Coach of the Year -- Mike Smith. Rookie of the Year -- Matt Ryan. I'm trying hard not to make this one all about the Falcons, but I can't go any other way on those three. Defensive Player of the Year -- Julius Peppers, John Abraham or Barrett Ruud (ask me again at the end of the regular season and I'll pick one then). Special Teams Player of the Year -- Clifton Smith.
