Bryant has words for Dilfer, Smith

TAMPA, Fla. -- Was out at Buccaneers practice, but haven't been able to post until now because of computer problems. That issue still is being worked on, but I'm on a borrowed computer now.

Anyway, back to football stuff.

Tampa Bay receiver Antonio Bryant had some strong words for former teammates Trent Dilfer and Emmitt Smith. Bryant said they have been unfairly critical of him while working in their current roles as television analysts.

Bryant, who had some trouble in his previous stops and was out of the NFL last season, objects to being called a troublemaker. I don't claim to know Bryant well, but I've talked to him a few times since he's joined the Bucs.

But every indication I've seen from Bryant and from his current teammates is that he's focused on doing the right things on and off the field this season. That's the only time that really matters right now. Perhaps Bryant should keep that in mind, too, and let his current actions speak for themselves. Those actions tell a pretty darn good story right now.
