QB Ryan, two other Falcons fine after minor accident

Matt Ryan, newly anointed as the starting quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons survived a minor scare Wednesday morning. Ryan, reserve quarterback D.J. Shockley and receiver Brian Finneran were on their way to the team's Flowery Branch complex and their car was stopped at a red light in Duluth, Ga. Another car slid into them on a rain-slicked street.

A team spokesman just told me the three players were not injured and traveled with the team to Baltimore on Wednesday night. The Falcons finish their preseason with a game against the Ravens.
