Around the NFC West: Sherman's mouth

These are your choices regarding Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman: talks too much, talks not enough or talks just the right amount.

Around the NFC West: June 7, 2013

"I'm not going to come out and say he shouldn’t be a top 100 player because he should be a top 100 player, but he talks too much," Atlanta Falcons receiver Roddy White said.

Champ Bailey, 12-time Pro Bowl cornerback, said Sherman talked his way into All-Pro honors.

"This guy talks too much," Bailey said.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times has the blow-by-blow from Sherman's latest back-and-forth with other NFL players, this one in relation to where Sherman ranked on the NFL Network's latest list of 100 best players. White and Bailey were reacting to Sherman's claim that White didn't deserve a spot on the list.

Seattle visits White's Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 10 this season. The Seahawks play at home against Bailey's Denver Broncos in an exhibition game set for Aug. 17.

We can add this latest Sherman dustup to a list featuring his dismissal of Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green, the warning he issued to Peyton Manning, his mocking of receiver Michael Floyd, his postgame confrontation with Tom Brady, his name play with Calvin Johnson, his baiting of cornerback Darrelle Revis, his previous comments regarding White and his awkward exchange with Skip Bayless.

Imagine the possibilities for Sherman if the Seahawks hadn't turned down "Hard Knocks" recently.
