SAN FRANCISCO -- After being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury heading into Sunday’s game at San Francisco, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will be active against the 49ers.
Fitzgerald worked out with Cardinals trainer Tom Reed about two hours before kickoff, going through a series of stretches, working on routes and sprinting while receiver coaches Darryl Drake and Kevin Garver watched.
At one point, Fitzgerald huddled with general manager Steve Keim, head coach Bruce Arians, Drake, Garver and Reed. Fitzgerald and Arians walked away for a short conversation before Fitzgerald ran off to the locker room.
With two games in five days, both against NFC West foes, Fitzgerald’s health is of greater concern than normal, however with the importance of Sunday’s game against the 49ers and Thursday’s against the Seattle Seahawks, it's no surprise Fitzgerald will power through the injury.
On Friday, Arians said Fitzgerald’s injury is to the same left hamstring but in a different area.
