There wasn't much in the NFL Insiders' Offseason Blueprint of the Cardinals that we already didn't know or that I'd disagree with.
I think Louis Riddick was spot on with his assessment of what the Cards' front office's priorities are for the 2014 offseason with the exception of one thing. While I agree with Riddick that the Cardinals will offer a hometown discount to running back Rashard Mendenhall, I think it might be a last resort. Too much has been said this offseason that will lead me to believe Arizona will be go with Andre Ellington as the primary running back. Now, Mendenhall may become the backup, but I also think that role goes to Stepfan Taylor.
The three names who KC Joyner threw out there for possible free-agent additions were intriguing. They were all from positions that the Cardinals are in serious need to upgrade: strong safety, cornerback and tight end.
The blueprint also looked at the long-term situation at quarterback as well as a prediction of next year's roster.
