Sando says: Tell me where to go (not really)

Posted by ESPN.com's Mike Sando

A month has passed since the last time we discussed which NFC West games to cover in person. The no-longer-weekly feature lost traction when the Cardinals ran away with the division lead without much opposition.

I'm booked for the Vikings-Cardinals game in Week 15 because NFC playoff positioning could be at stake.

My decision to stay home in Seattle for Week 14 made more sense before the 49ers' upset victory in Buffalo. That outcome made the Rams-Cardinals game more appealing than the Seahawks-Patriots matchup, but I'll monitor both games -- as well as the 49ers' date with the Jets -- from the press box at Qwest Field.

The chart shows how many times I've seen each NFC West team in person this season. A quick look at the travel schedule so far, followed by a look at the possibilities for the remaining weeks:

Week 1: Cardinals at 49ers.

Week 2: 49ers at Seahawks.

Week 3: Rams at Seahawks.

Week 4: Cardinals at Jets.

Week 5: Patriots at 49ers.

Week 6: Cowboys at Cardinals.

Week 7: Cowboys at Rams.

Week 8: Cardinals at Panthers

Week 9: Eagles at Seahawks

Week 10: 49ers at Cardinals

Week 11: Cardinals at Seahawks

Week 12: Giants at Cardinals

Week 13: Sando at home

Week 14: Patriots at Seahawks

Week 15: Vikings at Cardinals

Week 16

  1. Cardinals at Patriots.

  2. 49ers at Rams.

  3. Jets at Seahawks.

Week 17

  1. Seahawks at Cardinals

  2. Redskins at 49ers

  3. Rams at Falcons

Note: We're less apt to travel late in the regular season once division titles are clinched and playoff positioning becomes less of an issue. It's conceivable I could stay home for one or two of the final two weeks, depending how things go.
