TEMPE, Ariz. -- The feel in the Cardinals' locker room Monday was business-as-usual, perhaps because the team secured its playoff berth so long ago.
Players came and went to meetings, weightlifting sessions and lunch as they normally would.
Anquan Boldin's anticipation was most palpable among the players I spoke with during the media session in the locker room. The Pro Bowl receiver said he sat out the last two games with an eye toward getting healthy for the playoffs.
After five playoff-free seasons in Arizona, Boldin was determined to be ready for this week. He said he would play with a broken arm if necessary. Reporters laughed, but I'm not sure Boldin was kidding.
The shoulder Boldin injured two weeks ago has recovered enough for Boldin to feel comfortable about practicing this week and playing against the Falcons.
On a lighter note, Boldin said players were yelling for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie not to score late in the game against Seattle. They wanted to get the offense back on the field so Steve Breaston could pass 1,000 yards receiving. Breaston made it, joining Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald in the 1,000-yard club this season.
