You called it: Fearless predictions for Week 18

Posted by ESPN.com's Mike Sando

Falcons over Cardinals in a blowout? Cardinals over Falcons in a runaway? A close game decided by a Neil Rackers or Jason Elam field goal?

None of us wants to hear Sunday about how you just knew the wild-card playoff game between the Falcons and Cardinals would turn out a certain way. We want you to tell us in advance, in the comments section of this blog.

For the uninitiated, we've been soliciting predicted outcomes and scores since Week 12. Hundreds have participated, but only three have picked scores and winners exactly, earning spots on the Wall of Fame. They are:

  • Elion245. Forecast the Redskins' 20-17 victory over the Seahawks in Week 12.

  • Leesters. Forecast the Bears' 27-3 victory over the Rams in Week 12.

  • habitat730. Forecast the Cardinals' 34-10 victory over the Rams in Week 14.

This is your chance to join them. And you don't have to worry about me singling out your prediction for ridicule if you miss badly. This is for fun, and bragging rights, and the overwhelming sense of pride you'll feel in seeing your name on that wall.

The fine print: Those submitting predictions for "You called it" must pick the winner correctly for their scores to be considered. Predictions must appear in the comments section of this blog item, time-stamped before kickoff. Scoring is easy to calculate. The difference between a 20-17 prediction and a 31-14 outcome would be 14 points. We would calculate this by adding the difference between 20 and 31 to the difference between 17 and 14.
