Dockett picks up third Super Bowl sack

The Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger has taken more sacks since 2004 than any NFL quarterback. He is now taking them retroactively.

The league, which routinely makes statistical adjustments following games, has changed Darnell Dockett's first-quarter tackle on Roethlisberger to a sack. The play in question was a third-and-1 play with 10:11 remaining in the quarter. Roethlisberger gained no yards.

The adjustment gives Dockett three sacks in the game, tying Reggie White's Super Bowl record. Roethlisberger now has three rushes instead of four. The Steelers have 25 rushes instead of 26. Yardage totals were unaffected.

Dockett indeed was a dominating force for much of the game. He played with heart and proved to be a difficult matchup, as usual.
